Lately I've been working a lot on my curriculum vitae. It's a website that I've been neglecting for a long time. The codes on the website are all messed up, disorganised and there are a lot of unecessary tags that were automatically generated by a client program. The fonts are too small, details not updated, etc. So I have been working on it quite a lot...hand coding it again from ground up but this time, keeping it organised, using more CSS classes, trying to make it XHTML compliant and to hopefully produce good quality coding. And it's such a lot of work! Soon, the words that come out of my mouth will consist of jumbled up syntax characters like /"<.*>}#{...

However, I must admit I think I am getting a kick out of coding. It feels quite addictive to experience how a single syntax can affect the whole website or program...whether your objectives were successful or not. It's crazy how many computer monitors you can throw out the window when things screw up. =) I can get so glued to a computer just trying to find a solution to a problem. It can be pretty frustrating and relieving at the same time when you finally find out the failed compilation was all because of one bloody syntax error. A colleague of mine says that if she didn't know me and she sees these websites of mine, she would think that I am such a complete geek! And in some ways, I suppose I am. But then she says I surf, travel and play guitar too....? So the conclusion is, I suppose I am neither geek nor cool but a maybe subjective mix of both, what some might call a...contradiction? Wicked. =)

"addictive to experience how a single syntax can affect the whole website or program?"

NAH! That'll wear off. Soon it will become tedious and frustrating :)

you're contraGEEking..

Who knows-you're the cool geek who's a whizz with technology yet enjoy the finer things in life like music, surf, etc. Jack of all trades, master of a FEW. Haha!

Yey another contradiction :P If you ever get the chance to read my mini autobio thing on my site you'll see another true contradiction-y person :P Lol! Also validated all my coding... and as you will see... it got me a job ;) I think during validating my coding, I started laughing a nerd-only jokes with non-nerd friends :| Definitely a no-no. I have a life. I do. Don't I?
