A Bit Of Luck

Location : London, England.

Isn't it sad what this blog has become? What happened to all the funny entries? Like when I had to piss on someone, when I checked my weight, my funny illogical misfortunes, etc. Lately, it is all about the pain and agony of lost love. That makes this blog a lot like other blogs and I never wanted this. I think I'm getting too personal online and although I will miss posting entries, maybe going on a hiatus is a good thing to do. To cool off.

On the job front, I've had a bit of good luck lately but nothing permanent in sight. I was running a British souvenir shop(owned by a Malaysian) for a few days and now, I'm doing simple office jobs for Indigo Public Affairs, a company that is in the business of political lobbying. Work keeps my mind busy and I hope with time, wounds will heal. Indigo hire me by the day and my hours differ everyday. I was initially doing some work for them distributing leaflets and they've pulled me into office because there's a backlog of work to be done at the moment. "Work" as in folding envelopes, sticking stamps, posting letters, etc. Maybe after this I'd get a permanent job here, take over the office one day and become a UK town mayor in a year. With a little bit of vision, I might even be the next British Prime Minister in 5 years. Yeah right.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, people. Some of you left really long comments that made me feel as if you were here talking to me in person. Even silent readers started to appear from nowhere. It's not easy because I'm alone in my search here. Savour the moment! I swear it's not often I find myself weak/down. Among what you said, the comforting ones were :-

1. Waves are forever, love is not.
2. If you have the strength to pick it up, you must have the heart to let it go.

The rest, I didn't understand but I'm happy you cared! I've been listening to a lot of Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder's voice still grips me sometimes because I can still feel the emotion in the songs. Without Pearl Jam, I think my life might have took a different turn. Pearl Jam were an influential presence in my growing up years because they put all I had to say into song!

Going snowboarding sometime this week - Pornstar & Virgin, u comin'? Git yo' ass down 'ere n BUST sum air! (We used to have nicknames for boardriders at the university snowboarding club, and mine was Ripcord)

Hey, I'm really sorry that I wasn't there when you needed friends. I'm very VERY sorry. I am glad that there are people around you who cared enough to keep you on your feet though. Thanks to those people who kept my friend here going since if he's gone, I would lose a significant part of my life.

Really, you've become quite a big part in my life because your comments and blogs are always so profound they made me re-think about a lot of things.

Hope you have lots of fun snowboarding. Take care!

Would love to get out for a ride, but work's solid at the mo. Nice to see the old names crop up, brings some good memories.
I can see us at about 400 years old, pipe-smoking, gin drinking, and talking about the old days - just hope I will still be able to live up to my nickname! Ha ha...

Tiffany : Errr.. don't think will ever happen... =)

TEL : and who might that be?

someone else : why do you have to live so far up north?

Posted by: Ripcord at July 2, 2005 03:10 PM

Not only why so far, but why so bloody busy with work! 6 days a week, moving house in the summer, so well busy for a long time...
Hope to see ya sooner rather than later. Get branson to drive up here for a session at castleford, Alex'll come down too.
