Location : Ipoh, Malaysia.
My grandma passed on to the afterlife at 10pm last night. She was the last surviving member of her generation as all my other grandparents are now six feet underground. My Dad sent me regular SMS updates and grandma was already paralysed on her right side, drips all over her, etc. He said when she tried to talk, her tongue moved a bit. I'm pretty sad she didn't wait for me to see her alive one last time before she passed on. I got news of her death on the day I was leaving Cherating to Ipoh, this morning. So, I'm around in Ipoh at the moment for a quick trip to attend her funeral.
On other news, swell in Cherating did pick up after a 2.5 week rest. The ocean must be tired after churning out wave after wave from early October till the last week of January without a proper break. The waves in Cherating were shoulder to head high earlier on today, on the sets. But it looks like a short swell because the forecasts are not looking good again. There will probably be a flat spell again in a few days.
Posted by Ripcord at February 12, 2005 11:22 PMSorry about grandma. My maternal grandma died eight years ago. And it was a sad time -- for me it was mainly because I saw my grandfather completely waste away just weeks after her death. But every time I think he's not going to make it another year, I find myself attending another of his birthdays like I did two days ago.
